The handoff around quality release.

Map the information that surrounds a release decision, from the supporting records to the status the next team sees.

Map information readiness

Start with the records a qualified reviewer needs and the places those records are kept. Follow how the team knows a package is complete, which version is current, and who resolves a missing item. Keep the review decision distinct from the preparation work.

Make the waiting visible

A package can wait for a document, a reviewer, clarification, or a system update. Record those reasons separately. An undifferentiated hold status makes it difficult to see whether the next useful action belongs to production, quality, or another team.

Assist the preparation

Document retrieval, completeness checks, and structured extraction may reduce repeated handling. AI-assisted outputs need appropriate validation. Required review and release approvals remain with the accountable people and established controls.

Complete the downstream handoff

Follow the approved status into warehouse, planning, and shipping workflows. Measure document preparation effort, missing-item rework, and the delay before the next team receives accurate information. Define success with the process owners before changing the flow.
